1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the taxi and transportation services provided by CabX Plymouth Limited ("CabX", "we", "our", "us"). By making a booking with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website.

2. Our Services

CabX Plymouth Limited provides:

  • Local taxi services within Plymouth and Devon
  • Airport transfer services to and from UK airports
  • Corporate transportation solutions
  • Vehicle rental with driver services

Our services operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including bank holidays.

3. Bookings

3.1 Making a Booking: Bookings can be made through our website, by telephone, or via our booking partners. When making a booking, you must provide accurate information including pickup location, destination, date, time, and number of passengers.

3.2 Booking Confirmation: A booking is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation from us. We reserve the right to refuse any booking at our discretion.

3.3 Advance Bookings: For airport transfers and long-distance journeys, we recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance to guarantee availability.

3.4 Special Requirements: Please inform us at the time of booking of any special requirements such as child seats, wheelchair accessibility, or extra luggage space.

4. Prices and Payment

4.1 Quotations: Prices quoted are estimates based on the information provided. The final fare may vary due to route changes, traffic conditions, waiting time, or changes to the journey requested by the passenger.

4.2 Fixed Price Bookings: Where a fixed price is agreed and confirmed, this price will be honoured provided the journey details remain unchanged.

4.3 Payment Methods: We accept cash, credit cards, and debit cards. Payment is due upon completion of the journey unless alternative arrangements have been made.

4.4 Corporate Accounts: Corporate account customers may be invoiced monthly subject to credit approval and account terms.

5. Cancellations

5.1 By the Customer:

  • Local journeys: Free cancellation up to 30 minutes before pickup time
  • Airport transfers: Free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup time
  • Late cancellations may incur a cancellation fee

5.2 By CabX: We reserve the right to cancel a booking due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., severe weather, vehicle breakdown). In such cases, we will attempt to arrange alternative transportation or provide a full refund.

5.3 No Shows: If you fail to appear at the pickup location within 15 minutes of the scheduled time (or 60 minutes for airport pickups) without notice, this will be treated as a cancellation and a fee may apply.

6. Passenger Responsibilities

Passengers agree to:

  • Be ready at the pickup location at the agreed time
  • Wear seatbelts as required by law
  • Behave in a reasonable manner and treat drivers with respect
  • Not smoke or vape in the vehicle
  • Not consume alcohol or illegal substances in the vehicle
  • Not transport illegal items or hazardous materials
  • Ensure children are appropriately restrained
  • Take responsibility for any damage caused to the vehicle

7. Luggage and Personal Belongings

7.1 Luggage: Standard vehicles can accommodate reasonable amounts of luggage. Please inform us of excess or oversized luggage when booking so we can arrange a suitable vehicle.

7.2 Lost Property: We will make reasonable efforts to return lost property. Items found in vehicles will be held for 28 days. Collection may be subject to an administration fee.

7.3 Liability: While we take care with passengers' belongings, we cannot accept liability for loss or damage to personal property during the journey.

8. Airport Transfers

8.1 Flight Monitoring: For airport pickups, we monitor flight arrivals and adjust pickup times accordingly.

8.2 Waiting Time: For airport pickups, 60 minutes free waiting time is included from the scheduled flight landing time to allow for delays, baggage collection, and customs.

8.3 Meeting Point: Drivers will meet passengers in the arrivals hall with a name board unless alternative arrangements are agreed.

9. Liability

9.1 Our Liability: We maintain appropriate insurance for passenger transportation. Our liability is limited to the extent permitted by law.

9.2 Exclusions: We are not liable for:

  • Delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control
  • Missed flights or appointments due to such delays
  • Loss or damage to personal property
  • Indirect or consequential losses

9.3 Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure to perform our obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

11. Data Protection

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
